3003 Aluminum vs 6061

3003 aluminum sheet is a forged alloy, containing about 4% alloy elements, and is made by cold working. The yield strength of 3003 aluminum alloy is about 185MPa, which is smaller than 6061 aluminum.
6061 aluminum is a deformed alloy. It is a metal with good ductility after heat treatment. The typical representative state is 6061-T6. Its yield strength is about 276MPa, and its strength and toughness are good.
In terms of price, 3003 alloy is cheaper and not too hard. It is easier to process than 6061 and is more suitable for formability applications.
