Aluminium Polyester Laminating Film Production Process
Aluminum polyester laminated film is made by coating aluminum foil with adhesive after surface treatment, laminating it with polyester material through pressure roller, and then cutting the edges after lamination. Our factory uses dry lamination method for lamination. The following is a detailed description of the production process of aluminum polyester laminated foil:
Prepare materials:
Choose aluminum foil and plastic film according to requirements. Aluminum foil usually chooses pure aluminum between 0.006-0.02mm; plastic film chooses PE, PET, PP, and other materials according to different packaging requirements.
Dry lamination process:
The adhesive is applied to the plastic film and then dried using a laminator. Finally, the dried adhesive-coated plastic film is bonded to the aluminum foil using a heat press.
Cutting and Winding:
The aluminum polyester laminated film is cut into suitable sizes by a cutter, and then the film is rolled into a roll by a winder.
Quality inspection:
Aluminum-plastic laminated foil needs to undergo appearance inspection, physical property inspection, chemical testing, etc. Only after passing these tests can the laminated film be put into use.
How to Choose Aluminum Polyester Laminating Film
- Thickness
- The thickness of aluminum foil laminated film is mainly determined by the nature of the product, packaging requirements and the use environment. Generally speaking, the thicker the aluminum polyester laminated film, the better its barrier properties, strength and other properties, but the cost will also increase accordingly.
- Applications
- Industries such as food and pharmaceuticals have higher requirements for the barrier and moisture resistance of aluminum polyester laminated film, so thicker laminated films will be selected; under conditions such as high temperature cooking and pressure, thicker aluminum foil polyester laminated films need to be selected; in humid environments, aluminum polyester laminated films with better moisture resistance need to be selected; and in high temperature environments, aluminum polyester laminated films with better high temperature resistance need to be selected.
- Adhesive Type
- The adhesive used in laminated films can be pressure sensitive (PSA) or solvent-based. PSA adhesives are easy to apply and dry quickly, while solvent-based adhesives provide stronger adhesion, but require longer drying time and may produce thicker smoke.
- Appearance And Performance
- The surface finish of the film affects the appearance of the finished product. We provide matte, gloss, and textured finishes for you to choose from. If your laminate will be exposed to sunlight, choose a film with high UV stability.
